Increasing transparency in the programmatic landscape is a cornerstone of sustainable growth. By offering a community-driven framework, Prebid brings monetization clarity, fairness, and accountability, benefiting publishers and advertisers.

However, market players may find it difficult to adopt the technology due to integration challenges. We have developed and implemented a ready-to-use solution to simplify and speed up this process. It streamlines the integration of new advertising platforms into the Prebid ecosystem.

In a previous update, we introduced SDK-rewarded video support for the Prebid SDK. This time, Vladislav Isaiko, Olga Zharuk, and Maksym Pavliv have accelerated the adoption of Prebid.js.

The power of transparent and efficient header bidding with Prebid.js for web publishers

Prebid.js is a widely adopted open-source platform for header bidding with rich features. When it comes to header bidding, Prebid.js is the go-to technology.

Here is the publisher's roadmap for lucrative website monetization: 

  1. Download Prebid.js.

  2. Add Bidder Adapters (SSPs & Ad Exchanges you want to work with).

  3. Integrate with Prebid Analytics API.

  4. Add the code to the page.

  5. Start monetizing.

The Prebid.js platform contains all the necessary components and supports broad functionality for monetizing websites among multiple buyers. It already includes more than 300 ready-made adapters to work with well-known monetization partners such as The Trade Desk, Criteo, PubMatic, OpenX, and so on. 

While Prebid configuration is easy enough, we still advise collaborating with your monetization partners to ensure you have done it correctly.

The challenge of embracing Prebid.js for new market players and the solution designed by TeqBlaze

Adopting Prebid.js isn’t as easy for SSPs and Ad Exchanges as for individual site owners. For newcomers, especially, adapter development and integration can feel like a maze of complexity. That’s precisely the problem TeqBlaze set out to solve—with a streamlined, scalable approach that cuts through the clutter and gets partners up and running fast.

Previously, each new company on the market had to create its own Bidder Adapter. Among other difficulties, the development process took time, sometimes measured in days. But things have changed. 

What did we do? 

Developed and added a bidder utility to the Prebid library, enabling rapid adapter creation. From now on, this process will take up to 20 minutes, and all the risks will be leveled. This slight, jewel-like improvement to the ecosystem is fundamental to its evolution.

Why is it important? 

  • Better support for updates. Sometimes, developers need to fix adapters when things stop working. Usually, it happens after major version updates. Instead of fixing dozens of adapters on the side of diverse companies that adopted Prebid.js, we'd need to fix just one utility, and all the adapters would start working correctly again. Also, rest assured that open-source contributors handle such top-level fixes independently.

  • Easier integration for third-party solutions. The library provides advanced functionality to integrate third-party solutions within the Prebid ecosystem. Again, you don't need custom development; use a ready-to-go option and forget about support issues. 

  • Industry-wide impact. The pattern-based integration approach is highly conducive to the widespread adoption of the technology. The faster and easier it is for new entrants to start, the greater the benefit to the entire ecosystem. 

Among the implicit benefits, we highlight greater code clarity, which boosts performance by facilitating smooth interaction within servers and reducing request processing time.

The future: AI-driven performance raise for Prebid.js

To pull back the curtain, here's how we plan to enrich the Prebid ecosystem further and upgrade our white-label platforms. This tweak is centered around the Prebid Analytics API, which allows connecting diverse third-party analytic tools. 

In a typical setup, these tools passively collect data to monitor trading activity. 

How it can be improved:

  • We’re developing supplementary machine learning models.

  • Based on the part of the trading data, the models will define optimal campaign parameters.

  • Then, the platform automatically fine-tunes settings in real time based on the calculated outcomes.

  • The result is increased publisher revenue, improved campaign efficiency, lower server load, and a smoother ad experience.

Using our extensive AI knowledge, we're refining how analytics work within Prebid. Our goal is to automate inventory optimization with only the most relevant data. These enhancements will boost our white-label platforms, and we'll share them with the Prebid community for broader impact. Small data tweaks, big results.

As the industry evolves, so must the tools that power it—and open-source technologies are leading that charge. With complete control over auctions and insight into bid dynamics, publishers can fine-tune monetization strategies.
